Hi, I am Rui, an artist and a product designer aiming for self-discovery and social connections.

As a generation-Z creative and internet native, I commenced on a dynamic exploration of my design mission in the cross-disciplinary realms of art, culture and visual user experiences.

I completed my BFA in Printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design, where I built up my sensibilities through expressive works. With the realization of expanding the social impact of traditional communication methods, I transitioned to digital media and product design and completed MA Design at Carnegie Mellon University.

My media and UI/UX design internships enhanced my user-centric design skills and fueled my exploration of more creative designs for social innovations. Meanwhile, my undergraduate education in visual aesthetics contributes to my unique artistic style and thoughtful expression of humanities in my design products.
